The Town of Milton is celebrating a milestone birthday with the launch of a new corporate brand and visual identity that reflects the excitement of its young, active, innovative, growing and diverse population.
The new brand was developed through input gathered at a series of public consultations, including focus groups and a comprehensive public survey. The results from this research inspired the colourful, stylized, inclining letter M and a design that uses colour to represent the vibrancy of Milton’s community. The M emerges from two overlapping leaves to demonstrate Milton’s ties to nature and the opportunities for future growth. Milton Council adopted the new logo and tagline “Place of Possibility” on June 26.
Unveiling our new brand on Milton’s 160th anniversary is a special nod to our past and a timely opportunity to look forward,” said Milton Mayor Gord Krantz. “Miltonians told us that they wanted the brand to be inspirational and forward-looking while still grounded in our natural heritage. I think we nailed it!”
“Whatever ideas Miltonians and outsiders had about Milton ten years ago no longer apply,” said CAO Bill Mann. “The vibrant colours and upward slope of the M are reflective of the excitement that is building here and the people who call Milton home. This new brand is truly shaped by this community.”
